Affant
welcomes Leslie Van Excel to our team. As one
of the newest members of our complex engineering
operation, Les brings over 7 years of experience in
system administration and programming. Within this
time, he has worked for an environmental laboratory,
a domain name registrar, and an enterprise web
based time and accounting software company. He is
especially skilled in Microsoft and Linux based
operating systems. We
are very excited to have him on board as our System
Administrator and Programmer.

Sending Tickets and Projects Live
Currently all of Affant
documentations, tickets,
projects, and quotes exist in-house on different
systems. We are unifying these documents into
something called the Affant
Portal, and over the next year, we are publishing it
for our clients’ use. This does not come at the
expense of a previous way of contacting us, but is an
addition to our current method. In one year,
our plan is to have all maintenance customer
interactions available through a single logon web
page, a Comprehensive Customer Communication if
you will.

Improving Network Assessment and Monitoring
For the past 6 months, our Affant Engineers
have
been evaluating various IP Telephony (VOIP)
readiness assessment and performance
management
solutions. After extensive evaluation of the leading
market solutions, Affant chose NetAlly Lifecycle
Manager from Viola Networks for its rich capabilities in
pre-deployment network assessment and on-going
real-time monitoring coupled with its ability to
remotely assess customer networks from the
company's Network Operations Center.
