Affant is happy to introduce the newest member of our
Engineering team, Donald Pistole. With several years
in retail and merchandising, Donald worked for Stater
Brothers and the Pepsi Bottling Company. In addition
to his customer service experience, he brings a strong
work ethic and positive attitude to our Support Team.

Client Testing Begins
As you may have read in our last Affant Update, we are
unifying all of Affant documentations, tickets, projects,
and quotes into something called the Affant Portal,
and over the next year, we are publishing it for our
clients’ use. We completed Phase 1 of this
implementation getting our internal team up and
running last month. Our next step is to get Affant's
ticket system completely public facing by the end of the
year. We have began testing the Portal with one of our
clients, Ambassadors. This client now has the ability
to login into a single interface and intuitively update
and see the status of current and pending projects
and tickets and the new web based AffantWATCH
monitoring and reporting. Please expect an update as
to the progress of our Portal in the April Affant Update.

J. Robert Scott Case Study
In 2004, J. Robert Scott decided to redesign its phone
and network system. The company had separate
phone systems in each of its 5 U.S. sites, each
serviced by different vendors. This made
communication and the coordination of repairs
between sites expensive and difficult to manage. The
intersite frame relay network performance and
reliability did not meet the company’s current needs. J.
Robert Scott’s goals were to lower costs, to increase
efficiency in managing 5 sites, to increase
performance in the data environment, to reduce
downtime, and to allow for greater scalability and
growth.
